Who we are
Traditions Landscape Group is a family-owned design-build company run by John and Christi Richardson. We design and build the whole outdoor project ourselves, from the first drawing to the final walkthrough, for families across New Albany, Westerville, Gahanna, Powell and Central Ohio.

How we work
You see the whole thing before we dig
Every project starts with a walk around your property and a conversation about how you actually want to use it. You get a design rendering and a written price before any work is scheduled, so nothing about the finished patio is a surprise.
- Family-owned, and localJohn and Christi grew up in New Albany and still live, work and raise their four children here. The people who design your project are the ones you will run into at the grocery store, which is a useful thing for a contractor to have on the line.
- One person, start to finishOur approach is deliberately concierge. John guides every project personally through design consultation, budget, planning and construction, so you are never handed between salesperson, designer and crew, and never left explaining your project twice.
- Built to last an Ohio winterAs an Authorized Unilock Contractor we build with materials chosen for freeze and thaw, on the base depth and drainage the job actually needs. The parts you never see are the reason the parts you do see are still flat in fifteen years.

As an Authorized Unilock Contractor we build with materials made for freeze and thaw, and we install them the way the manufacturer intends. Excavation to the right depth, a properly compacted base, drainage that works and edge restraint at every border.
None of that is visible in a photograph. It is the whole reason the patio in the photograph is still flat and tight a decade later.
