Traditions Landscape Group is a family-owned design-build company. John and Christi Richardson own it together, grew up in New Albany, still live there, and are raising four children in the same community we work in. We design and build paver patios, outdoor kitchens, fire features, pavilions and the planting and lighting around them, across New Albany, Westerville, Gahanna, Powell, Blacklick and the rest of Central Ohio.
John takes a concierge approach, which mostly means you deal with John. He walks the property with you, talks budget before anyone draws, plans the schedule and stays with the job through construction and the final walkthrough. We are an Authorized Unilock Contractor, fully licensed and insured, and the base under a patio gets the same attention as the stone on top of it.
John and Christi grew up in New Albany and still live, work and raise their four children here. The people who design your project are the ones you will run into at the grocery store, which is a useful thing for a contractor to have on the line.
Our approach is deliberately concierge. John guides every project personally through design consultation, budget, planning and construction, so you are never handed between salesperson, designer and crew, and never left explaining your project twice.
As an Authorized Unilock Contractor we build with materials chosen for freeze and thaw, on the base depth and drainage the job actually needs. The parts you never see are the reason the parts you do see are still flat in fifteen years.
John guides every project himself, from the first walk of the property through design, budget and construction. Christi runs the business alongside him. There is no salesperson in between, and no handing you off once the work starts.
